Our Program

THE PRESCHOOL offers a morning program (4 days/week, Monday through Thursdays,
from 8:00 a.m. to noon).

We’re open from early September through early June. Closed summers.

MORNING PRESCHOOL includes free-choice and teacher planned activities,
snack (brought from home), indoor & outdoor play, and circle time.

Free-choice activities are always available, for example: blocks, manipulatives,
dress up, role-play, self-directed art activity (drawing, cutting, etc.) outdoor play,
books, cozy corner, sand or water play…

Teacher-planned special activities include: special art projects, songs, music,
dance, yoga, Spanish, gardening, cooking projects, small group activities,
flannel stories, special books and dictation stories, group murals, hands on math,
simple science & nature, and circle times.

The Preschool offers a developmentally appropriate curriculum which emphasizes:

Children “Learning Through Play.”

Opportunity for creative expression & social play

Children free to choose their activities indoors and outdoors

Many opportunities for children to learn about and observe science, gardening, and nature
